Abstract
This report by the CLASP-coordinated Clean Lighting Coalition, in partnership with the Mercury Policy Project and Responsible Purchasing Network, highlights environmental and health risks posed when fluorescent lamps break, especially to children and other vulnerable populations. It also recommends concrete steps government, industry, and consumers can take to accelerate the transition to LED lighting, which is mercury-free, more energy-efficient, and widely available.
