Description
The OFF-GRID Expo + Conference (OEC for short) in Augsburg is the only neutral congress trade fair in Europe for technologies for off-grid energy supply and use. The practice-oriented format with an English-language conference, trade fair and the community network happening takes place every 2 years. With its know-how transfer, the OEC directly contributes to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition to affordable and clean energy (SDG 7) and access to clean drinking water (SDG 6), the goals of economic growth (SDG 8), sustainable consumption (SDG 12) and climate protection (SDG 13) are on the agenda.

Launched as a workshop in 2011, the event steadily attracted more participants and sparked increasing enthusiasm, including among exhibitors and event partners.

Since 2020, the Alliance for Rural Electrification has been the official conference partner of the Off-Grid Expo+Conference.
