Job description
Who we are

Trama TecnoAmbiental (TTA), headquartered in Barcelona, is a leading international engineering and consulting firm specializing in renewable energies. Since 1986, we have been driving innovation in distributed generation and energy access for sustainable development. Our multidisciplinary team combines technical expertise with strong management experience, gained through participation in projects worldwide. We have been pioneers of renewable energy-based microgrids, from concept and design to deployment and dissemination. Sustainability and social responsibility guide our work, ensuring our projects create meaningful impact.

Job description and Responsibilities

TTA is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join its Commercial Department. Reporting to the Department Unit Leader and the Bid Team Manager, the Bid Manager will work within an established team, playing a central role in developing competitive, high-quality proposals in response to international tenders, primarily from multilateral and institutional clients such as the World Bank, the UN, and the EU.

Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, the Bid Manager coordinates inputs from Team Leaders, Bid Writers, Subject Matter Experts, partners, and external experts to produce proposals that are technically robust, evaluator-focused, and commercially viable. The ultimate objective is to secure contracts that are both winnable and deliverable.

TTA's project portfolio is primarily anchored in energy access, spanning a broad range of engineering and consulting services.

1.Define proposal concept and structure. Analyse client needs, interpret and summarise RFPs, and attend strategic planning sessions to establish the proposal's scope, approach, and team composition.

2.Lead end-to-end proposal planning and coordination. Develop and manage activity timelines, assign responsibilities to contributors, and oversee information gathering, writing, review cycles, and data tracking to ensure on-time, high-quality submissions.

3.Act as central liaison between Commercial and Consulting teams. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration throughout the proposal lifecycle, ensuring alignment on strategy, messaging, and deliverables.

4.Lead or review proposal development. Author proposals and budgets directly when acting as Bid Writer or critically analyse the methodology and budget drafted by the Bid Writer, stress-testing both through the lens of the evaluator. Drawing on the Terms of Reference and experience from previous bids, provide targeted recommendations on content depth, approach focus, and presentation to maximize the proposal's competitive strength and probability of success.

5.Advise Team Leaders on bid strategy. Drawing on knowledge of the competitive landscape, past bid processes, and sector expertise, provide strategic guidance to Team Leaders on partner and expert selection, competitive positioning, and methodology choices.

6.Manage submission logistics. Coordinate the final editing, compilation, and delivery of proposals through required channels, digital platform uploads, printing, or physical shipping, ensuring completeness and compliance with submission requirements.

7.Drive continuous improvement of proposal processes. Monitor success rates, evaluate process effectiveness, and proactively recommend and implement workflow improvements to increase the commercial win rate.

8.Contribute to projects and internal development. Support some consultancy assignments in energy access or project management and contribute to internal company improvement initiatives based on the candidate's educational background and professional experience. Deployed on an as-needed basis.
