Under the supervision of the Director – Planning and Programme Support, the selected candidate will perform the following duties:
- Organise IRENA events, including IRENA Innovation Week;
- Support the preparation and organisation of IRENA’s presence at climate events, such as COP (Conference of the Parties);
- Manage the travel arrangements of the Director, PPS including mission processing;
- Support travel arrangements and missions of DG in Rome;
- Perform administrative functions related to publishing, procurement, work programme and budget reporting, among others;
- Support the work of other areas of PPS responsibility as required;
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education: Advanced university degree in social science, international relations, political science or related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience/Skills: Relevant professional experience, including the below;
- Work experience in organising international workshops, meetings and events at the international level is required.
- Experience working in a similar organisation or government in the area of sustainable energy, is desirable.
- Successful experience working with multi-disciplinary teams across regions and geographies with a demonstrated capacity to cooperate diplomatically in an international setting is a plus.
Languages: Excellent written and spoken English command is required. Knowledge of other languages as Italian and German are plus.
