Trama TecnoAmbiental (TTA), headquartered in Barcelona, is a leading international engineering and consulting firm specializing in renewable energies. Since 1986, we have been driving innovation in distributed generation and energy access for sustainable development. Our multidisciplinary team combines technical expertise with strong management experience, gained through participation in projects worldwide. We have been pioneers of renewable energy-based microgrids, from concept and design to deployment and dissemination. Sustainability and social responsibility guide our work, ensuring our projects create meaningful impact.

Job description and responsibilities

TTA is seeking two Construction Supervisors specialized in renewable energy mini grid projects, to join the Technical and Construction Unit. Under the supervision of the Construction Supervision Area Leader, the Construction Supervisors will support the development of grid-connected and primarily stand-alone renewable energy electrification projects worldwide.

The Construction Supervisors will work in the following areas, listed according to priority:

1.Supervision and Construction management: Methodological supervision of small and medium sized renewable energy electrification projects up to a few MWp: •Manage the supervision of multiple sites with different contractors in parallel. •Tightly control quality and timelines in complex environments, including approval of technical solutions, where required, with the support of TTA specialists and/or external consultants. •Manage TTA local teams and sub-contractors that assist in the supervision. •Visit sites periodically to supervise electrical, civil, and mechanical work. •Commission the facilities or, where required, coordinate commissioning experts.

2.Plant design: Work in technical designs and simulations, in the range of tens of kW up to MW, calculation of electrical protections and conductor sizing, layouts, bill of quantities, drawings, and technical specification writing of renewable energy-based decentralized solutions. This includes but is not limited to stand-alone solar PV systems, mini-grid plants, energy storage, control and monitoring systems, grid-connected small PV plants, transformation, PV-pumping systems, and electromobility.

3.Procurement documents: Support the preparation of Technical Specifications for bidding documents, support the elaboration of administrative procurement documentation, and participate in tender evaluations.

4.Field visits: Coordinate the field surveys to assess demand profile studies based on data gathered and field measurements and assess potential project sites for solar PV.

5.Feasibility studies: Support the preparation of technical and economic feasibility studies for Solar PV plants and mini-grid projects.

6.Conceptualize technical solutions: Support the definition of technical solutions from the project and the client's needs and liaise with the engineering department to define the concept designs.

7.Project proposal preparation: Support the Business Development department in preparing proposals, particularly technical methodologies, bills of materials, budgets, and technical drawings.
