Description
The 10th E-Mobility Power System Integration Symposium will take place on 28–29 September 2026 in Porto, Portugal, bringing together power system experts, charging infrastructure providers, vehicle manufacturers, system operators, and researchers to address the system-wide integration of electromobility into modern power systems.

With rapidly growing numbers of electric vehicles and charging stations, the symposium addresses power system impacts across planning, operation, markets, and regulation. It provides a dedicated forum to discuss practical, system-oriented solutions for integrating large-scale e-mobility, with a strong focus on charging infrastructure and its interaction with distribution and transmission grids.

Main Topics of the Symposium include:

• Power System Aspects related to EV Grid Integration – grid impacts, modelling, operational experience, AI/ML, and system resilience

• Charging Infrastructure – planning and smart charging strategies, distribution grids, megawatt chargers, heavy-duty applications

• Charging Station Design Aspects – AC/DC/wireless methods, high-power and MW chargers, standardization of modes and communication

• Vehicle to Grid (V2G) – field experience, ancillary service participation, international rules and regulations

• Grid Code Aspects for Charging Stations – grid code requirements, grid-forming, communication interfaces, security considerations

• Market, Regulation, and Policy – market frameworks, regulatory developments, mobility-as-a-service concepts

• Decarbonization and Energy Transition – integration with renewables, sector coupling, and green hydrogen

• Electrification of Transport and Urban Mobility – electric trucks, shore power, e-marine, and other emerging e-transport solutions

Key Dates:

• Abstract Submission Deadline: 20 April 2026

• Registration Opens: Mid-June 2026
