Description
The President of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) announced plans to organize a series of back-to-back events as part of a ‘Sustainability Week’. The UNGA President highlighted the importance of thematic debates to ensure high-level attendance and progress related to ‘Revitalization of the work of the General Assembly’ (Resolution 77/335). The events will also contribute to the Summit for the Future.

Sustainability Week will feature the following events:

  • Global Stocktaking on Sustainable Energy;
  • High-level Thematic Event on Sustainable Tourism;
  • Informal Dialogue on Building Global Resilience and Promoting Sustainable *Development through Infrastructure Connectivity;
  • High-level Meeting on Sustainable Transport; and
  • High-level Thematic Debate on Debt Sustainability and Socio-Economic Equality for All.
