Knowledge fuels change - Support energypedia!
For over 10 years, energypedia has been connecting energy experts around the world — helping them share knowledge, learn from each other, and accelerate the global energy transition.
Today, we ask for your support to keep this platform free and accessible to all.
Even a small contribution makes a big difference! If just 10–20% of our 60,000+ monthly visitors donated the equivalent of a cup of coffee — €5 — Energypedia would be fully funded for a whole year.
Is the knowledge you’ve gained through Energypedia this year worth €5 or more?
Your donation keeps the platform running, helps us create new knowledge products, and contributes directly to achieving SDG 7.
Thank you for your support, your donation, big or small, truly matters!

WISIONS was founded in 2004 by Wuppertal Institute – a think tank and sustainability research institute based in Wuppertal, Germany.
Our mission is to empower individuals and communities in the Global South to transform the production and use of energy so that it effectively enables sustainable development.
Over the last 15 years, we have supported communities and local energy practitioners through projects, knowledge exchanges, networks, research and advocacy.
• WISIONS’ scheme SEPS (Sustainable Energy Project Support) nurtures innovative sustainable energy projects and fosters knowledge exchanges between practitioners. As of February 2019, SEPS has supported around 130 projects and exchange activities across the world.
• WISIONS cooperates with and supports four practitioner networks to facilitate knowledge development and sharing and to induce the broader dissemination of sustainable energy:
o RedBioLAC (Latin America and the Caribbean) and RedBioCol (Colombia), on biogas.
o HPNET - HydroEmpowerement Network, on community micro-hydro in South and Southeast Asia.
o WindEmpowerement, on small-scale wind.- Households
