Abstract
India is now the third largest solar market globally. Access to large amounts of capital is essential for the market to maintain its momentum. With over Rs. 210 billion (€ 3 billion) of debt financing in 2016 alone, solar has evolved from a fringe technology to a mainstream asset class. Our report shows how the financing ecosystem in India is stepping up to meet this opportunity through experience and innovation.
