National Energy Efficiency Policy, Strategy and Action Plan in the electricity sector in Cameroon
Title of Document | National Energy Efficiency Policy, Strategy and Action Plan in the electricity sector in Cameroon |
Abstract | Cameroon is a growing economy with rapidly increasing electricity demand, particularly in the industrial sector. The utility is currently grappling with a power deficit, and energy efficiency measures are becoming critical for meeting Cameroon’s electricity demand in short to medium term. In particular the industrial sector, requiring the largest share of reliable electricity supply, has to be incentivized to improve its efficiency.
Cameroon's Ministry of Water Resources and Energy (MINEE) through the Agence de Régulation du Secteur de l’Electricité (ARSEL) requested the EUEI PDF to support the formulation of a National Policy, Strategy and Action Plan for the development of Energy Efficiency Policy in the country. |
