The initiatives include also the promotion of electricity generation by renewable energies (solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, waste to energy etc.). The NEEAP sets out the following targets: the growth rate of electricity consumption across sectors (industry, buildings, government, others & losses) should be reduced by 5% in 2020 compared to the base year 2010. This should result in a reduced energy intensity of 0.42 kWh/$ in 2020 compared to 0.44 in 2010.
