|Job description=The expert will provide advisory services to local companies within the solar renewable energy value chains (solar thermic and photovoltaic) in Jordan operating in the following areas: components, control units, assembly, installation and recycling.
The advisory services will aim at: i) transferring resource efficiency best practices and technologies for components/panels manufacturing to be delivered at individual factories; ii) defining circular business models applicable to the local context for managing end-of-life of solar and PV panels including recycling (glass, aluminium, copper, insulating materials, etc.), and refurbishing for second-life applications[1].

As part of the assignment the expert will undertake a high-level assessment of the solar renewable energy supply chain in Jordan, assessing local barriers and opportunities for circular economy adoption within key value chains, and providing recommendations for adapting circular business models within these regional contexts.

The culmination of this work will be a final report and presentation of key findings to stakeholders, facilitating the integration of circular economy principles into the solar renewable energy sector.
