A major aim of the promotion of energy efficient lighting is certainly environmental/climate protection and sustainability. Thereto, energy efficient lighting promises to reduce emissions, to save energy and thus resources. 

However, the introduction and further promotion of energy efficient lighting needs to clarify environmental aspects too, such as:
